I was at a church service one time when the pastor emphatically said, "When God gives vision, He follows with PROVISION!" I wish I remember the church or name of the pastor that said that, or else I'd give him credit for the chorus of this song!
The verse is inspired by a conversation I had when talking with a homeless man downtown Chicago about his life. He shared that God had saved his life one time by providing a "ram in the bush" during a heated moment in a gang, allowing him to live instead of getting very badly hurt.
The bridge was inspired by a retreat I was on when I was a staff person with a campus ministry. The preacher was speaking about the book of Ruth and he shared about God's faithful loving kindness towards Ruth and how God provided for her in the story.

So this song is a compilation of inspired moments from different experiences, but all with the common theme of God's provision.

The release of this song was delayed from fall of 2021 to spring of 2022 because I had a baby! What a testament to God's provision: the miracle of life. It's been so amazing to witness the miracle of life growing inside of me and then coming into the world. So I dedicate this song to our son, God's miraculous provision. :)
